1. Rental request
As your Getaround Connect car will have Instant booking activated, drivers will be able to book it without you needing to accept manually. The profile of the driver is then verified by Getaround, particularly the driving license and identity documents of the driver.
2. Rental preparation
Before the beginning of the rental, leave the keys in your car, then close your car with your Smartphone : go to Your Cars, select your car then click on See on Getaround Connect > Close. The driver will be able to unlock the car as soon as the rental begins.
3. Beginning of the rental
The driver geolocates your car position using their smartphone 1 hour before the beginning of the rental. Once there, the driver will take 10 photos of the car, from different angles along with 2 photos of the interior. Then, they will unlock your car with their smartphone. They take the keys, indicate the mileage and the fuel level, and then go! You then receive an email with the contract of beginning of the rental. During the rental, the driver uses your car normally (meaning with the keys).
4. End of the rental
The driver must take pictures of your car under 10 different angles along with two photos of the interior and then indicates the fuel level and mileage. He puts the keys back inside your car and locks it with their smartphone. You then receive an email with the contract of the end of the rental. You can then make a request to Getaround if any mileage or fuel adjustments must be made. If the driver damaged the car during the rental, they will have to report it from the app: you would then be notified by email. Once the rental is over, you can geolocate your car again with your smartphone. Once there, open it with your smartphone and get your keys back. You can then use your car normally.
Always lock & unlock your car with the application. Please, make sure that you remember it, it is very important. If you lock & unlock it with the keys, the driver will not be able to open it. And it also secures the car (immobilizer).
Rental Request
When you receive a rental request, you have two options:
Accept, only if you can give your car keys at the requested time and place. If you accept requests you cannot fulfill, your cars ranking will go down. Once you’ve accepted a request, the driver will have to pay and confirm.
Decline if the request, the meeting time or the meeting place doesn’t suit you.If your car is not available for the requested dates, update your calendar.
If you need more information to answer a request, call or text the driver.
Note: You will be informed by e-mail and text message if the driver confirms the rental. You will receive a checklist of the steps you must take to prepare the rental. The driver may not confirm the rental, as most people contact several owners before making their choice. For this reason, if you receive several rental requests for the same dates, we would advise that you accept them all. The first driver who pays gets to rent your car.

Before each rental you should perform an inspection of your car to note any existing damages or dirt.
Starting the rental
The rental automatically starts at the booked check-in time. The driver will carry out the walkaround inspection and checkin steps from their phone, and once the rental agreement has been uploaded, you will be able to see the information via the rental page.

The rental ends automatically at the check-out time booked. The driver will carry out the walkaround inspection and checkout steps from their phone, and once the rental agreement has been uploaded, you will be able to see the information via the rental page.
