Not the best experience, but not necessarily the fault of the owner. We got a flat tire about 90 minutes out of town just hours after picking up the car. Unfortunately no spare tire and no jack. There was a small compressor and ‘ fix a flat’ but I’m not sure that even works in a tubeless tire. It’s important to note that the owner of the car did immediately contacted get around and let them know the issue but get around has yet to respond to any of my communications. The real disaster was the tow truck driver who wasn’t able to get to car for about 24 hours. There were no taxis, Ubers or buses from where we were stranded so we paid a stranger A lot of money to get home. The flat tire was not fixed for another 24 hours after the tow truck arrived. By the time we were notified, we only had a small portion of our trip left so we never even got back to the car. Hopefully the owner is following through with our refund from getaround.
I’m sorry your trip was affected by this situation. I contacted Getaround immediately and did my best to assist, but unfortunately the roadside assistance and refund process are handled by Getaround. I hope they resolve the refund with you soon. Thank you for your understanding.
